Quarter acre area along Hannah Creek road, Kaniksu NF. Just inside edge of timber on which all litter and duff was dug up with mattocks, exposing mineral soil. The purpose was to see how much matural regeneration would be speeded up by breaking up the duff layer in this area. October 18, 1937.
