- Plant #2 was purchased in 1943 and required reconditioning of roofs, fire walls, and a complete east end. Three-story east send of the building had barley pearling equipment installed. Rest of the building was used for storing 100-pound sacked beans and held many carloads. Washburn name is [on] the east end of the building. Building originally was used in the manufacturing of furniture.
