Postcard of St. Gertrude's Convent and Academy in Cottonwood, Idaho. | This convent, just west of U.S. 95 is the only motherhouse in Idaho. Established in 1909, it is now the home of 165 Benedictines. The 1956 registration of the new Academy was 152 High School Students. The sisters also have a Junior College for their own members, staff 10 Parochial Schools and 2 Hospitals in Idaho.
