Postcard of the Old Mission of the Sacred Heart in Cataldo, Idaho. | This historic mission is the oldest remaining building in Idaho, and is now a State Park. It was built in 1848-53 by members of the Coeur d'Alene Indian Tribe under the supervision of Father Ravalli. The Mission stands serenely on its own hill 20 miles east of Coeur d'Alene, along Interstate 90 in Northern Idaho Panhandle. It was completely restored in the mid 1970's.
