- Postcard of the interior of the Cataldo Mission church in Cataldo, Idaho. | The interior of the "Old Mission" of the Sacred Heart looks today much as it would have when it was part of a thriving Indian/Jesuit mission in the 1860's. The artistic genius of Father Ravailli, the church's architect and designer, is revealed in the two wood carvings on either side of the altar. Built in 1848-53, it remains as Idaho's oldest building. The "Old Mission State park" is open year around to visitors.
