- Original Description:
- The WPA crew which built the high school on Hwy 2, (now Priest River Jr High). It was donated by a gentleman from Laclede who called me (Marilyn) and whose name I forgot and who then left the picture at the Intermountain Citizen Office. He said his father or uncle was in it. Partial ID's: Frank Bongorino (Bongioni) (Bonji), in bib overalls & leaning on the sign in the front row. 2nd row: 2nd man, Henry Brown, above the "o" in "project", with a shock of red hair & suspenders, George Mack, John Shawgo to his right. 3rd row: extreme left with ribbon looped behind his head, Willie Hoop; extreme right, white hair, Slim Ferris; to his left, Oscar Derrick (tentative). 4th row: 3rd from left, short man with dark hair standing in front of tall man in a white shirt, Cliff Bossio, to his left, John Krizenesky. 5th row: extreme left, Max Salesky; last row, 3rd from left, Nick Dalebout, 2nd from left, Cliff Hill, foreman. In the 4th row, the man wearing the hat is possibly Ray Ingram, and Hugh Gillespie (Gillaspie) is supposed to be in the 5th row (next to last row), but I (Marilyn) don't know which one he is. In front, the third man from the left, wearing a tie & holding the small sign is George Hartman, a brother of Mrs. Joe Bombino.
