- 11 children and their teacher posed in the doorway of Davis school.
- Original Description:
- Log building mistakenly labeled peninsula school by Chuck Peterson. Walt Daily identified this group as follows; back row, Flora Dailey Cary, Rachel Dailey Cary; 2nd row, Harold Dailey, John Davis, Marvin Jackson, Barbara Davis, Ruth White Adams, teacher; front row, Walter Dailey, Ralph Comfort, Phil Stearns, Leland Comfort, Mavis Stearns. The school was located at the present Jewell (Frank) Hammons' ranch and was used until the Jackson schoolhouse was built (1936-37) -- according to Walt Dailey. 10-31-89 Interviewed Goldie Jackson who said this was the first Jackson school apparently named after her, never called Davis, although Davis apparently once owned the building. Walt Dailey had told me (Marilyn) Davis.
