Original Description:
This 3x5 horizontal was taken at Chipmunk Rapids during the log drive. Log 4-50 is almost like it. Salesky tells a story of Mart Gumaer falling off a log here while showing off for the assembled bigwigs of Diamond Match. Salesky fished him out by running his peavey under Mat's suspenders. He says Mart would rather have drowned. He characterized Mart as a show-off who was always out front garnering attention.
