Japanese stew was served at dinner yesterday, and it received rave reviews as the first delicious food in this camp. Everyone understood why when we found out that it was a recipe from Kiso . This clearly paints a picture of our current situation where meals are the biggest source of joy for each of us.
We have our photos taken for records. Two photos for one front view with a number and side view.
Mrs. Tanaka came to see Mr. Tanaka again today. He asked her to relay his message to Mr. Hisatsune Nakatani when she goes back to Po City and ask him to send money. That is because he received a notice that Mr. Nakatani collected subscription and advertising fees of about 60 dollars for the company. Mrs. Tanaka and the Ishibashi family left for home this afternoon.
208 I received my most favorite sweet beans and sugar-coated beans that the Oda [1] family asked Mrs. Tanaka to bring it to me. Japanese crackers donated by the Women’s Association also were distributed among the members. Mr. Uehara, the owner of Tenyoshi, sent us grapefruits. I am most grateful.
