I am having a severe digestive problem. I skipped lunch yesterday to get rid of gas in the system, but it did not help.

I was very hungry as I fasted for 10 hours from breakfast at 7 in the morning until 5 pm. I could not help guzzling all pork sausages on the plate for dinner, and sure enough, I had a stomach ache and could not get up from my bed this morning. I was in bed all day. I thanked my tent mates and skipped all the meals, and Mr. Horakami [1] brought me soft boiled eggs. This is what has been fed to me since last year. I thanked his kindness and was happy to have it. For dinner, Mr. Sato make miso soup, and Mr. Kondo kindly put one egg in it and brought it over to me. I cannot thank them enough for their kindness.
According to the letter from the internees’ family, and also as reported in newspapers, forced removal in Po [2] city was scheduled to be complete yesterday, 5th (Tuesday), and some of us received a notice of their location from their family to let them know they arrived at the Livestock Exposition Ground in North Portland. I have not heard from the Kiso family yet though.
Sound of a shaluhachi flute was occasionally heard at night, and it fills my heart with homesickness and sorrow.
