It was clear and sunny, but the cold winter is here to stay. It is our Unit 7 from Portland to serve as Kitchen Police. I helped to do some exercise.

I was not able to work as much as I wanted due to my anal prolapse but did not feel that tired today.
Rumor went that some general will visit for inspection, and the first stop will be the kitchen. Mr. Tomihiro as the leader of the KP unit 7 kitchen was fed up, but no general came. We do not have to worry about who is coming for inspection. A soldier would be nervous, but inspection by a general does not mean anything to us internees. Especially a general who is interested in inspecting a kitchen would not be worth worrying about.
Mr. Kondo made a pair of geta wooden clogs for me. Mr. Shunji Sakake will make strings for them. They are to be a memorabilia gift when I go back to Japan.
