According to the letter someone in the H Area received from his family incarcerated in the center in Idaho, regular evacuees [1] are avoiding the internee family by giving them a cold shoulder, and even those who were close to the families are not friendly any more. It is such a despicable phenomenon. Those people should be considered to be denaturalized and should be firmly rejected to land on the ground of Japan after the war. I will make my strongest argument against them to the government and public society after I return to Japan. It is a small issue but a significant shortcoming as Japanese citizens. They go with the flow as things happen, go back to being Japanese, play a role as a spy for the U.S., care about nothing but protecting themselves and have no pride in being a citizen of the nation.

A party to celebrate wedding for the daughter of Mr. Mitsusaku Nishino was held at the K-1 mess hall at 6:30 in the afternoon. His daughter will hold their wedding ceremony at a Methodist Church in Twin Falls in Idaho State. About 70 people attended, and it was a joyous gathering with some performances played. It is an unusual wedding party for the internees, but under these circumstances, there is no way we can be happy from the bottom of our hearts.
Three new internees were detained the day before yesterday. I heard that one of them was transferred from Galveston City in Texas.
