"Islam in Africa: Religion and Music in East and West Africa"

With particular emphasis on Ghana and Uganda’s Islamic practices,"Islam in Africa: Religion and Music in East and West Africa" will provide an overview of music’s position within coexisting global and indigenous religions.

The presentation will reflect the Muslim Journeys Theme "Pathways of Faith".

The Bridging Cultures Bookshelf: Muslim Journeys is a project of the National Endowment for the Humanities, conducted in cooperation with the American Library Association.
