The first sentence of the introduction reads: 'This overview of cultural resources has been written to address both management and research needs on the Salmon National Forest.' This research also studied the location of the historical sites within the National Forest, including some CCC camps. But the report mostly focuses on the flora , fauna, climate and natural resources of the forest, as well as the history of how humans have used those resources. There is also a conclusion drawn about how best to protect those resources in the future.
