Original Description:
Brown's house and farm buildings in the foreground and a huge billowing cloud of smoke in the background. The fire started near Bead and Freeman Lakes and travelled across the peninsula at incredible speed. It was the worst natural disaster ever to have befallen the Priest River Valley. Location of the Brown place is in town on the west end of Beardmore Avenue.
