Among the mails we received today, almost all received by the Oregon folks were forwarded from the Missoula camp.

To our surprise, they are all letters sent from Po [1] city from January 24th to 27th. I am not sure if that is due to the negligence of inspectors at the Missoula camp or intentional withholding by them, but I would imagine it is carelessly or intentionally done. Especially, a letter to Mr. Sato carried inquiries regarding the closing procedure of the Coast Publisher, and that just stunned me. We could have taken steadier steps toward it only if we had received this letter, but it is simply too late.
Mailing from this camp initially was restricted to be once a week by order, but it has been improved to two letters and one postcard per week now. We received an official announcement that correspondences in Japanese will be forwarded to the central government office and delivered after inspection. As we are under control of the military, the inspection of incoming letters is swift and does not take a long time as it did in Missoula. Delivery is speedy, and that is a single item everyone is satisfied with.
