The University of Idaho Library has a large collection of digital and print newspapers to use.
In partnership with ASUI, the U of I Library also offers all U of I students, faculty, and staff free online access to the New York Times. And be sure to check out the online edition of the UI Argonaut student newspaper!
If you are accessing databases off-campus, you will be asked to log-in with the University of Idaho NetID and password.
To find a specific newspaper:
- Visit the Library Catalog
- Type the newspaper title into the search bar.
- On the left side of the search results screen, limit Resource Type to Journals.
- Then, limit Genre Type to Newspapers.
If the newspaper title doesn't appear in your search results, contact the University of Idaho Library for assistance.
Current issues of local, state and national newspapers are available in print on the 2rd floor of the U of I Library. Most older issues are on microfilm and can be viewed on one of the microfilm readers, located on the 3rd floor.
